2009 ya'll
My first ever handspun yarn!! I got a drop spindle & a book on spinning for Christmas and here is my first attempt. I used some of the wool that came with my kit. This is a single ply yarn. Its not very much yarn, so not exactly sure what I want to do with it yet! I'm thinking of possibly doing some crazy square project in the future involving random bits of handspun.
I have already ordered two more kinds of wool roving from etsy! I'm slowly spinning some beautiful merino wool in lime, gray, and teal. I am going to do a double ply this time (since I take it that's what all the cool kids do).
And here is my progress on my Tweed version of the Baby Doll Tunic from Vogue Knitting Winter 2008. This picture doesn't really capture the color of the yarn as I would like but, what are you gonna do? I'm really hoping this doesn't turn out baggy. I am following the Small pattern size but, its hard to tell sometimes.

I love your spun yarn. It sounds like fun to spin yarn! Let me know how you like it. Maybe someday (a long way a way from today) I'll give it a shot too.
