ODE to first ever knitted SHIRT!

I finished this a while back but have been way to busy with wedding planning to post it. I'm getting married next Saturday, and everything is planned!

I've knitted many many things, but never a shirt or sweater. I chose the Summertime Tunic from Interweave Knits 2007. The pattern is very easy- no sleeves to attach, which was perfect for my first shirt.

The yarn is Cathy Bliss 'Cathay' which is a cotton/silk blend, lovely, in sage green.

Unneccessary, but still enjoyable, close-up-of-stitches shot. The green is much more beautiful in person.

The cool thing about this tunic is the straps, they are just ribbon looped through. It was easy and looks pretty cool. And if they fray or start to look generally crappy, they are easily replaced.
Sweet side shot:
Its a little looser than I would like. And the band is kinda stretched out, I plan to block it to see if that helps. I don't have alot of blocking experience. Also, I used the sizing smaller than my actual bust size as recommended, thankfully.
Overall, a very fun knit. And pretty darn quick, since it was knitted in the round for most of the length.
Hooray! Next: Wedding craftiness!!
