I just found out the our friends Dave & Tiffany are having a baby boy. I've been awaiting this announcement because I really wanted to make gender appropriate gifts. I had already embroidered a onesie with a guitar, because I knew either way it'd be a hit with them. So today I did another sublime stitching pattern.

Here is the progress we have so far on squares for the Warm Up America project! My friend Cyndi visited recently and brought the ones she's been working on. Mine are the squares on the right. I've been using Caron Simply Soft, which are acrylic and machine washable and a stipulation of the project.
And Cyndi brought knitted wristbands for maximum St. Patti's Day enjoyment. Of course, I am hardcore and wore a bright green shirt. We listened to their friends' band Motown Blood down on Greenville, fun times. Knitting items + beer = excellence. For better pics of the arm bands check out her blog.
